An overdue commission for Rackety, examining a gecko's feet to figure out their stickiness, in the name of science! The gecko's looking pretty bored at this point, but I'm sure he's getting paid by the hour. Maybe he should have brought a book. I approached the design as if I was designing a mad scientist's lab for a movie set, not with much real practicality in mind, but if you'd like to have some fun, you can print a copy of this out, and circle all the fire hazards.

Dragon on some rocks by Tod

I don't have a real title for this one. However, it is, in fact, a dragon sitting on some rocks, chatting with a guy. This dragon, I am told, likes a -few- people, and can actually be very helpful if approached by the people who don't annoy him, but for the most part, likes to chow down on adventurers.

It isn't often that I get commissions to draw characters that mean as much to me as this one, but getting hired by your old GM has its benefits. This is for a rpg rulebook, of one of my older role-playing characters. Slate is a basilisk unwillingly transformed into a mostly-human being by magic gone wrong. In helping the heroes save their city, he managed to get himself back to his real form, at the expense of newfound intelligence, but not the friendships he'd formed. I like to imagine that he occasionally takes human form when he decides he has something to say, but in this picture, he's communicating with another basilisk in a simpler way, and doesn't look too unhappy. This was very fun to draw.
