I'm a martial artist. I also study the more esoteric side of the martial arts, the development of "qi". This cute little mage seems to be orientally styled, so being very tired when I wrote the comment, I stated that the mage's spell/energy ball at the tip of his finger is a fairly simple trick, making it easily felt isn't hard with enough practice. Making it easily seen, however, is almost impossible without a lifetime of exhaustive study; only the very talented can do it I'm told, and I myself have only witnessed it once or twice.

That's awesome. I'm glad that I asked :D (I was worried it would come across as being snippy, but I was curious).
I have a friend who studies that kind of stuff. I can't say that I've ever drawn any specifically martial-arts themed stuff, but it's really neat.
