An overdue commission for Rackety, examining a gecko's feet to figure out their stickiness, in the name of science! The gecko's looking pretty bored at this point, but I'm sure he's getting paid by the hour. Maybe he should have brought a book. I approached the design as if I was designing a mad scientist's lab for a movie set, not with much real practicality in mind, but if you'd like to have some fun, you can print a copy of this out, and circle all the fire hazards.

Skir and Windchime by Tod

A young kobold and a young blue dragon off seeking their fortunes. Skir's parents are casualties of war, and she's been on her own for some time, while Windchime ran away from the stifling expectations of her parents. Windchime is significantly older than her friend, and finds herself occasionally falling into a maternal role, but when it boils down to it, their both barely adults in the eyes of either of their societies, and happy to be off on their own, causing trouble. The scorpion on a string is a nod to the 2nd edition Monster Manual.

I based him off a real reptile that likes to live in the desert and also eat a ridiculous amount. I know I'm not as good an artist as the people who do illustrations for WotC, but arg, those designs bothered me so much. I liked the unusual wing structure, and I think a cartoony flying bearded dragon monster is much more suited to collecting teacups than a cross between a slug and a swamp turtle.
